Minimum wage increase in effect from February 1st
The National Minimum Wage will surpass the €10 barrier for the first time in 2020.
The minimum rate of pay will increase by €0.30 from €9.80 to €10.10 per hour.
As a result of the increase, it’s important to remember to adjust payroll come February 1st.
Increase delayed due to Brexit
National Minimum Wage increases usually come into effect on January 1st each year. However, the government chose to delay the increase this year to assess the impact of the UK’s withdrawal from the EU.
